I was looking forward to the YPD phir se trailer. There are reasons. One that Bollywood fans rarely get to see Sunny and Dharmendra on screen together and while purists might scoff at it the first YPD actually had some fizz in it. Sunny and Dharmendra had the guts to laugh at themselves on the screen in that one. So did Bobby Deol. For example that famous scene from the first one where Sunny is trying to pump water out of a hand pump vigorously and Bobby asks him sarcastically - abey chalayega ya ukhadega ? pointing fun at the handpump scene of Gadar.
YPD second part was a disappointment. The Third trailer looks better than the second part at least.
YPD in any case belongs to fun and paisa vasool genre so the nation-changing cinema hunters in any case might avoid it but like me if you love cinema that makes you go on a ride of fun then YPD 3 or Yamla Pagla Deewana phir se looks like fun.
Frankly the trailer does not point out to a great plot but sometimes your chances of getting entertained better become high. To be fair the trailer of YPDPS does have some nice comedy moments.Will it work at the box office we don't know but I for sure would want to see Dharmendra and Rekha breaking a leg on the epic rafta rafta once again.
My last thoughts on this trailer when will the rest of bollywood makers wake up to a simple fact that Sunny Deol still has a lot of fire left in him. Are they not ,business wise speaking , just letting a cash generating machine get wasted?
