It has been a 21 year wait but the master story teller has returned ! and how !

During the late 80s and then early 90s JP Dutta was one of my most favourite directors. His movies did not have half measure moments. The canvas ,background music, characters everything would be large scale. He understood drama. Then since Border 1997 the man went downhill. My kind of fans kept the memories alive by catching Ghulami or Yateem on DVDs.

Today I saw the trailer of Paltan. The master story teller seems to have returned. To show all of us that he is not done. Not yet. Thank you god for giving us the JP Dutta we knew.

The trailer of Paltan is 192 seconds long and that is some length JPD does not do anything in precise mode. The thrilling part is the trailer keeps you hooked for its entire 192 seconds given the dud trailers I have seen in the recent past which were barely bearable for their two odd minutes length this in itself speaks great in favour of the movie.

The trailer has epic goosebumps moments.Right from scenes where Indian and Chinese soldiers are in hand to hand and eyeball to eyeball conflict. Some real sharp dialogues. Great Visuals and a heavy duty background music.

The movie and the trailer obviously does not have a single heavy duty star of current box office status yet the trailer holds you and you want to know what happens next particularly when you see a chinese soldier knocking down an India soldier.

The movie trailer builds unabashed patriotism and yet it does not get boring or at no point do you feel that I have seen this before.

Paltan is the return of JP Dutta to epic form and this one will create a rage on the box office. Cynics will be surprised by the numbers of this one. Remember you read it here first.

Welcome back JP Dutta this trailer shows that the 21 year wait was worth it.
